Talk about a wet start to Spring. Some around here even got snow on Easter Day. We weren't able to hold our annual Easter Egg Hunt either. Our kids are almost grown and I really wanted t squeeze in a few more of them before they were too old to partake in the fun. I still like the thrill of the hunt so maybe we will get lucky and get a few more years out of them!

I am finding the days are going by so fast that the days done before I am finished with my TO DO list. Ever feel as though you will never get that list done in one day?? I always have some left over items to complete and they just get added on to the next days TO DO list.
Currently I am on the hunt for some FAB handbags to share with y'all because that's what I do. Yep...collect handbags or at least covet those I cannot have. I have seen a few beauties so far and the list will be mighty fine and affordable too. In my current unemployment status...I am reduced to the coveting for now.....but I will give you some ideas for Summer Shopping.
Our favorite shows these days seem to be all on the SyFy channel. Image that...me a syfy geek too...but we LOVE Merlin, which just came back for the 2nd season, and Warehouse 13...I think its 2nd season premiers in August??? I cannot HANDLE any of the reality shows out except for American Idol. To me its not really a reality show..but I know it does fall into that category. We have an AI potluck every Tuesday and I enjoy the gathering as much as watching the show!!!

Yes...peeps...I am at it again. As I have more time and knowledge to play with things I keep updating the look and feel of my blog. This is a temp fix until I get my own custom design up. So...It's Superbowl Sunday and the parties are on. My BFF dude is having me over for some drinks and a good shouting match as we take sides - just for the sake of betting against each other. And of course, laugh at the commercials. (Best part of the whole damn day!) The loser usually has to cook a nice steak dinner, or the like, for the winner's family. I think he's won once and so have I. This will be the tie breaker!
Sweetpea has been out of town with a friend since Friday. OMG...I so remember what I was doing at that age when I went out of town with my girl friends. I just hope she has better judgment than I had at that age. I miss her after a night so I don't know what I will do when she goes off to college in a few years. Waaaa......Get a life Girlfiend...right????
I have been busy all morning tweaking my website some more and now I want to redo much of it....the good thing is - I CAN!!!! As I have said, it is a work in progress and it is soooo much fun playing with the design. I am learning Adobe Photoshop too and can do more and more each day. There isn't enough time in my day to do what I want to do and date have a life though!!! haha. Guess the life change will have to wait a while longer. Good news is the Cookie Lee Shows are ON. Yep folks, I have 4 shows booked already. Just need more inventory and I am good to go....woohoo!!!
Now I just need to decide what team I am rooting for today.....hmmmmm...I like horses.
One web site (Certified Automotive Repair) is almost done, needs just a few more tweaks, and I am finally working on my own now. Creative Web Solutions 4U. Yes, I know its one hell-of-a long name...but the alternatives when searching for a domain name were slim pickin's. I've just begun the arduous task of working on the copy, so let me know what you think...but don't be too hard on me yet cuz its no where near done!!! The header will change, I am having the graphic artist I work with snazz it up a bit. The new header is UP!!! Between this work and the Cookie Lee business, I am hoping I can continue as a self-employed, independent contractor. (I can now take credit card orders for payment for either business too.)
Rough as it is at times, I really do like being my own boss. I have the discipline and self-motivation (that's called...NEED MONEY) and the passion to do this kind of work, sooooo I am keeping my fingers crossed that the economy starts moving in a positive direction and people will be able to put money back into their businesses. My niche, here, is contractors and small businesses who do not have a presence on the Web/Internet yet, but need one to stay competitive.
As I continue to expand my knowledge base and my head is filled with visions of HTML code (i.e. divs, tables, and CSS) I know it is all for a just cause...my bank account. Yes, friends, as I pursue a business of my own creating dynamic web sites for other businesses, I realize how much I have to offer them. With the experience I have gained by getting my Bachelors degree in Business/Marketing (and those were a very, very, long and difficult three years) and last year with Twolia, I believe I will do well in the field of Web Design, Internet Marketing and Social Networking. I am using a great new software program to build my sites and I am finding it extremely useful in my time management too.
Also, while building the web design business, I have had to supplement my income in other ways. So...I have become an Independent Cookie Lee Consultant. Yes peeps....I can now order any piece of jewelry you want from the Spring / Summer 2010 Cookie Lee catalog collection. I have worn it for years now and ONLY promote things that I completely, and whole-heartedly believe in. So this...I can DO.
